Torrey Craig loses tooth

Phoenix Suns forward Torrey Craig got the worst of a collision with Giannis Antetokounmpo Tuesday night.

Craig, defending the Milwaukee Bucks star on a third-quarter fast break, took an inadvertent shot in the mouth from Antetokounmpo, hit the floor and stayed down as the play continued.

As the Suns’ broadcast booth debated the situation (“Torrey checking to make sure all of his teeth are in place. … They’re not … he picked up a tooth off the floor!”), Craig checked his mouth, slowly stood, picked up at least one tooth off the floor, and left the court.

Craig played tough defense on Antetokounmpo throughout the game, and that wasn’t their only physical encounter of the night.

The 32-year-old Craig, a six-year veteran, entered the night averaging 7.6 points and 5.4 rebounds per game.

The Bucks won, 116-104.

NBA fans felt Craig’s pain, and many thought the Bucks’ All-Star went a bit too far on the play.
