As we hit the second half of Black History Month, the Idaho Stampede announced and unveiled their specially designed Black History Month uniforms to be worn on February 20 against the Rio Grande Valley Vipers. Jerseys will feature President Barack Obama, Maya Angelou, Ray Charles, Dr. Martin Luther King and more. Each jersey will be accompanied by a specially designed shooting shirt or warmups with an inspirational quote by the person they will have on their jersey.

The jerseys were designed by Patrick Hunter of Detroit. Hunter will paint a special piece during halftime and his original artwork will be on display during the game. The jerseys and shooting shirts will later be available in an online auction with the proceeds going to benefit the Idaho Black History Museum.

In addition to those already mentioned above, other jerseys and shirts will pay tribute to George Washington Carver, Frederick Douglass, Coretta Scott King, Jackie Robinson and Harriet Tubman.
