Ben Simmons might have a future in the NBA.

When the Philadelphia 76ers forward isn’t showing off his ridiculous passing skills, he’s doing other magical things on the court that show off why many people are hyping him as a very special player.

During Tuesday’s Summer League matchup against the Golden State Warriors, the 2016 No. 1 overall draft pick was at it again. On a missed layup, the 19-year-old jumped up to grab the ball for a putback. The ball bounced off the hoop on its way down, and the talented Australian used his length to slam the ball with one hand, with authority.

Simmons still has plenty of issues to work on in his game, but some of the things he’s been able to do in the Summer League must have 76ers fans excited with his immense potential.

Simmons is a forward, who can play like a guard. He’s a great passer, rebounder, and defensive player. His shooting still needs plenty of work if he’s ever going to assume the mantle of being “the next LeBron” (as some have prematurely pegged him), but you can’t deny he’s got all the tools and physical attributes to be a star in the league.

This dunk is the perfect example of what Simmons can do on a regular basis. Even if the Sixers don’t contend for the next little while, Simmons should give fans more than enough hope for the future.
