Michelle Obama wants Steph Curry to do the unthinkable: trash talk her husband on the golf course.
The First Lady appeared on Ellen alongside Steph Curry, where the trio discussed Curry’s golfing adventures with Barack. Curry refused to disclose his handicap much to the protest of Michelle. Curry did talk about Obama’s trash-talking skills telling Ellen and FLOTUS Obama’s on-course trash talk game is much like his speeches.
“During his speeches, he has that slow cadence that kind of draws you in. He brings that same kind of vibe to his trash talk. So, I’ll hit a shot. It’ll bounce. And he’ll look like, “Yeah, that’s not a good shot. I’m going to need you to do better next time.” So, it gets in under your skin, too, because, “I know. I hit out of bounds.”
Michelle didn’t mess around when giving the Golden State Warriors point guard advice with how to spar with the President. She encouraged him to trash talk back to Obama and use his ears as his ammunition.
“Talk about his ears.”
“As you’re putting, you want to say, “The shadow from your ears is really messing up my putt.”
Steph Curry is certainly a star in his own right, but imagine the intense nervousness he’d experience making fun of Barack’s appearance. Although, he’s got permission from Michelle to do so, should he take the risk.
I’d pay to see Steph take a verbal shot at Obama on the golf course. But, what might be as equally entertaining is POTUS’s response. Dude is a verbal wizard.
Imagine if he broke out “Steph, you’re up three shots with one hole to play, what could possibly go wrong?”
No matter how bad his golf game is, he’s an MVP with words. Curry might be wise to keep his mouth closed.
