Rudy Gobert is 24 and Kristaps Porzingis is 21, but Gobert is now Porzingis’ father following this sequence on Sunday.

In the battle of seven-footers, Gobert landed a massive blow with the jam on Porzingis’ head before finishing him off on the other end with a swat. Gobert may be giving up two inches to the 7-3 Porzingis, but the man dubbed “the Stifle Tower” made good on his nickname here.
It’s still very early, but this sequence is a microcosm for the Knicks season. With some (cough, Derrick Rose) hyping them as an under-the-radar super team, New York has started just 2-4 this season after dropping Sunday’s contest to the Jazz 114-109.
Posterization aside, Porzingis actually had his best game of the season against Gobert and co., scoring a season-high 28 points and grabbing eight rebounds in the contest. Gobert, meanwhile, had 13 points, eight rebounds and three blocks.
But, it does not really matter how many points you score if you get dunked on and swatted away like that. The Jazz grabbed the W in the standings and on social media today.
