In Alabama, it’s either “Roll Tide” or “War Eagle,” but the state government is encouraging their residents to display their purple and gold and yell “Geaux Tigers.” At least when it comes to the back of their car.
AL.com revealed that the state of Alabama will begin selling LSU themed license plates starting in April. This sounds sacrilegious until you find out that Alabama also has license plates for Florida State, Georgia, Mississippi State, and Ole Miss. A total of 250 pre-commitments were needed for the license plates to be printed so there’s at least 250 LSU fans from Alabama.
Costing $50, the plates can be personalized and the money will go to the state’s general fund. This probably isn’t the best time to inadvertently troll Alabama or Auburn by making a plate with the defending national champs. That and many fans in the state probably won’t be thrilled about this but there are worse ways to raise money and the state is looking at the green instead of the crimson and white or the orange and blue.
