Alabama softball outfielder Jenna Johnson just made an absolutely incredible catch to rob a home run.
With her Crimson Tide leading 6-1, Johnson watched from the outfield as Northern Alabama was at the dish. Shortstop Haven Kirby swung and connected on a ball that seemed destined to make it a 6-4 game.
Not on Johnson’s watch though. The Alabama outfielder laid it all out on the line, literally, to rob the home run and keep the score at 6-1. She went up and plowed through the entire outfield wall!

Where do we even begin? The degree of difficulty here is nuts. Johnson had to go a long way from left field to even find and track the ball. She then crashed and fell over a “fence” and made the catch!
The dazzling display caught the eye of the softball world after it occurred.
The official NCAA Softball account’s mind was totally blown.

Alabama ranks 19th in the latest D1Softball Top 25. They are 20-6 on the year and went 3-3 last week. Their spot at 19th is a significant drop from last week when they ranked 10th in the poll.
This catch could go a long way toward keeping Alabama from potentially dropping further.
