On Saturday afternoon, the Appalachian State Mountaineers pulled off the upset of the year when they went into College Station, Texas and beat the No. 6 Texas A&M Aggies 17-14. The shocking upset win sent waves through the college football world, and it seems to have led to one epic celebration back at Appalachian State.
As seen in a video that has since gone viral all over social media, hundreds of Appalachian State students and fans came from all directions and flooded the streets of Boone, North Carolina – where Appalachian State University is located.

There were cars in the street with people actively trying to travel down King Street in Boone, but the fans didn’t care. They ran through the streets, jumped on cars, and gathered in celebration. It even appeared to be raining, but that didn’t bother the rowdy fans.
It was quite a wild scene as the crazy fans celebrated the victory, and the college football world had plenty to say about it on social media.

Appalachian State’s win might have been the biggest, but they certainly weren’t the only Sun Belt team to enjoy some surprising success on Saturday. But it’s probably safe to say they celebrated the hardest.
