Class of 2023 quarterback prospect Arch Manning is in the midst of deciding where he’ll play college football. Right now, he’s making the rounds at some of the schools considered his top choices. Last week he visited the Georgia Bulldogs and next week he’ll visit the Alabama Crimson Tide. But this weekend, he’s visited with the school some presume is the favorite to land a commitment from him, the Texas Longhorns.
And Manning wasn’t the only quarterback in town this weekend.
LonghornsCountry’s Matt Galatzan photographed Manning at Texas’ spring practice hanging out with former Texas QB and current Indianapolis Colts backup Sam Ehlinger. Plenty of Texas fans would love to know what that conversation was like.

Another former Texas quarterback on hand this weekend was Colt McCoy. The current Arizona Cardinals backup just so happened to be there and we’d have to imagine he probably said hi to Arch as well at some point.

Texas is pulling out all the stops to prove to Manning that he should choose the Longhorns over the many SEC schools vying for his favor. Given Steve Sarkisian’s reputation for developing quarterbacks, it makes a lot of sense.
Arch will be visiting Alabama next weekend and it’s been said that Georgia, Texas, and Bama are his top three, though not officially. Given how closely the five-star recruit has played things to his chest, it’s hard to know exactly where things stand. But you have to imagine that Texas is in a pretty position at the current moment with everything we know.
