Michigan star running back Blake Corum, who suffered a leg injury before the team’s annual game against the Ohio State Buckeyes, returned to the program with the intent of winning a national championship.

Corum, who would have been selected somewhere in the first three rounds of the draft, made the decision instead to return to Jim Harbaugh‘s football team.

The Wolverines‘ star running back issued a potentially legendary guarantee on Wednesday night at halftime during the Wolverines men’s basketball game against the Nebraska Cornhuskers—a game Michigan won by 21 points.

“Man, it feels good to be back!” Corum yelled to the excited crowd. “We’re gonna win the national championship and go down in history.”

The CFB world was quick to react to the news:

“My wife and I are naming our soon to be born daughter Blake. We are still undecided on a middle name. If this man comes through on that statement, she will be forever known as Blake Corum Woodard regardless of what her birth certificate says,” one Michigan fan said.

“Lying to kids is not honorable, Blake,” said one fan.

“They’re actually going to lose to Purdue in the title game,” said another.

“All 300 fans must’ve gotten goosebumps,” said one fan.

“Cool moment to be on the mic hosting for the Crisler Center. Having such a fun time!” wrote one fan.

Only time will tell if Corum’s prediction becomes reality.
