When the LSU Tigers lost to the Florida State Seminoles on Sunday, one thing a lot of fans and media noticed was someone seemed to be missing from the LSU offense: wide receiver Kayson Boutte.

Boutte, considered one of the top returning receivers in all of college football, barely caught any passes in the Tigers’  28-27 loss and a lot of people noticed that it often looked as if he wasn’t into the game at all. Boutte finished the game with just two passes for 20 yards Saturday.

Even more concerning is that right after the game, Boutte erased any mention of LSU from his social media accounts, leading to plenty of speculation from the college football world.

Head coach Brian Kelly decided to address the Boutee situation with the media Tuesday ahead of the Tigers’ game against Southern University.

“His standard is so high,” Kelly said according to Saturday Down South. “It wasn’t his best game. But he’s going to have great games. He’s the last guy I’m concerned about on our offense. He has handled it in a manner that he’ll learn from.”

After Saturday’s game against Florida State and Boutte’s social media antics, plenty of questions still remain about Boutte, regardless of Kelly’s comments.
