Clemson football slide

When you have one of the most profitable college football programs in the country, you can afford to go the extra mile and provide best amenities to your players. A slide in the football building? Clemson has one.

Clemson is working to update its new football building that will be opening the doors in January after the College Football Playoff. You know, just in time for the final sales pitches on the recruiting trail before National Signing Day. And what better way to wow recruits than with a freaking slide? The slide is just waiting to be uncovered and ready for the first 300-pound linemen to start putting it to good use. It sure beats the stairs, right?

It’s amazing just how far some football programs go when designing their football facilities. We have gone from waterfalls and barber shops to slides. What’s next, a ball pit? What’s the point of having a slide with no ball pit to plunge into? Clemson should totally go with that idea (and don’t think they wouldn’t).

Let this be just another reminder that college sand universities are looking for new and creative ways to impress recruits. Kids love slides. Football programs need more slides.

It sure beats paying players, right?
