We’ve seen some moonshot home runs in the college softball season and one that was hit on Sunday afternoon gave new meaning to the word.

Florida State already clinched their series against the Syracuse Orange but the Seminoles weren’t quite through flexing their muscles. Jahni Kerr smoked an absolute bomb to right-center field. Specifically, right off of the scoreboard!

“JJ OFF THE SCOREBOARD,” the FSU Softball account posted in awe.

The home run essentially clinched the game for the Seminoles over the Orange. They won 8-0 in five innings as they run-ruled their conference foe to sweep the series.

Kerr has been one of the best hitters for Florida State all season long. Going into the day, she hit .354/.394/.677 with five home runs and 44 total bases.

One fan joked that Kerr displayed “Unwanted scoreboard aggression.”

One fan suggested the ball went “about 350” feet. Quite the shot!

One fan said that they loved the confidence in Kerr’s swing this season.

Another fan joked that “She turned Syracuse into syrup cubes today.”

Florida State softball is 24-6 after the big win on Sunday. The Seminoles have recorded a 20-1 record at home, proving to be a force to be reckoned with for all teams who come to Tallahassee. Especially when they swing the bats like this.
