Pac-12 After Dark got even weirder than usual during the USC-Arizona State game on Saturday night.
A fox got loose on the field at Sun Devil Football Stadium and interrupted the game, twice (though over just a handful of seconds of game time).
USC had a 3rd-and-3 at the ASU 43-yard line when ESPN play-by-play man Dave Flemming noted how “we got an animal on the field, by the way” as Trojans quarterback Kedon Slovis stepped back to pass while a fox was on the football field.
The fox then ran off the field and made a huge leap into the stands, where it continued to run around (and sprinted up the steps).

After the Trojans threw an incomplete pass on 4th-and-3 for a turnover on downs, the fox emerged from the stands and returned to the field. Eventually, the fox was able to run up a ramp and presumably out of the stadium.

This comes a day after a moose got loose on the football field at South Dakota State, but that one wasn’t during game action.
