FSU Softball Florida State softball beat Louisville 6-4 on Friday, May 5, win ACC regular season title for the first time since 2019

FSU Softball made headlines on Friday as the team advanced to the ACC Softball Tournament Final.

The Seminoles have had an outstanding season and will look to make it even better with a tourney title victory. But before they play, they will have already achieved an insane feat.

With the victory, FSU clinched their 25th ACC Softball Championship game appearance! And according to the ACC Network, no other ACC softball program has more than eight appearances in the title game!

That’s quite an insane feat and shows the Seminoles’ dominance in softball. And for what it’s worth, FSU has 18 softball titles, so they will look to improve to 19-6 in ACC Softball Championship games when they play next.

A win would assure them of a spot in the NCAA Tournament, an event the program hasn’t missed since 1999. They have made 22 consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances. But they haven’t won the title since 2018, so they hope to return to the Women’s College World Series.

The softball world was ready to react to the insane feat.

“That’s good, right?” an FSU fan asked.

“There is a standard,” one Seminole fan said.

“ACC Softball HAS TO come through FSU,” another ‘Nole softball fan said.

And finally, the Seminole softball team had no problem patting themselves on the back.
