College football teams can give their walk-ons scholarships in unique and fascinating ways. Ball State for instance used a Price is Right parody to give a walk-on a scholarship, and Hawaii decided to try to one-up that.

During a break from camp, the team had a pool party and they opened up the high diving board for only one player: long snapper Brodie Nakama, who was a walk-on. When he reached the top, the team told him he earned a scholarship, and he celebrated by jumping into the pool, as the video clearly shows.

We need to see more college football programs surprising walk-ons like this, but only on a bigger and grander scale. If Hawaii and Ball State can do this, what can Alabama, USC, Michigan and others do? Come on Jim Harbaugh, you can do it.
