Indiana RB Kiante Enis

Indiana University’s Kiante Enis was arrested Thursday and charged with two counts of child molestation according to The Star Press.

According to reports, Randolph County sheriff’s deputies were tipped off about a possible relationship between the 19-year-old running back and a child “13 years or younger.” The details are sickening.  Enis admitted to investigators of a “consensual sexual encounter that occurred on at least two occasions in Randolph County.” He’s being held on a $20,000 bond.

Enis hasn’t appeared in a game with the Hoosiers, since signing with Indiana. He was on a full athletic scholarship and wasn’t available for week two’s game against Ball State due to concussion issues. Enis appeared destined for a promising athletic career, rushing for 35 touchdowns for the Winchester Falcons last season and qualifying for state finals and track and field. He was coveted by multiple colleges, committing with the University of Michigan before changing his mind to sign with IU.

Enis clearly didn’t understand a child couldn’t consent to sex and will face serious punishment due to his alleged disgusting, horrible actions. Enis admitted “to a sexual encounter” with the child and could face 16 years in prison. If the allegations are true, Enis should be locked away for a long, long time. Not that it’s the important thing here, but his football career is effectively over.
