After one season of splitting time with starting quarterback Kedon Slovis at USC, Jaxson Dart decided the enter the transfer portal earlier this month after the Trojans hired former Oklahoma Sooners coach Lincoln Riley.
Thursday afternoon it was announced that Dart has made his decision on where he will be transferring. The former USC quarterback has reportedly been admitted as a student at Ole Miss.
Jaxson played in 6 games in his freshman year at USC, throwing for 1,353 yards with 9 touchdowns and 5 interceptions.
Dart was highly acclaimed coming out of high school, rated the No. 3 quarterback and the No. 19 overall prospect in the class of 2021, according to ESPN’s rankings.
Here are some reactions around the college football world to Dart’s decision to enroll at Ole Miss.

HUGE pickup for Lane Kiffin. Dart was a 5-star in the portal, and will likely bring USC TE transfer Michael Trigg with him to Oxford. #rebels pic.twitter.com/VvliYgLHzz

Unless you can be on a class list at multiple schools, Jaxson Dart is going to Ole Miss.

Dart reportedly could be coming with fellow USC teammate, tight end Michael Trigg, who went on his visit to Ole Miss with him earlier this month.

This move by Dart could have a domino effect around the college football world going forward.
There were rumors of Oklahoma quarterback Caleb Williams heading to Ole Miss, but it now appears much more likely that Williams will go to other options on the table, such as USC or Wisconsin.
Dart will be heading to a very good situation for himself. With Ole Miss starting quarterback Matt Corral set to enter the NFL draft in a couple of months, Dart should have his chance to compete for the starting quarterback position.
