Former Texas A&M and Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel is widely regarded as one of the most entertaining college quarterbacks in the history of college football, but he failed to replicate that success in the NFL for several reasons.
Manziel’s story is a fascinating one and there may be a documentary coming if a tweet by Netflix on Friday is any indication.
Netflix posted a sneak peek of a potential documentary Friday, revealing a video of Manziel seemingly on set in an interview-type format.

Nothing has been confirmed yet on Netflix’s side of things about a documentary on Manziel, but some think this video is indicating that this project is in the works, which has certainly caught the attention of many around the sports world.

It certainly appears that something is in the works, with Manziel himself posting the eyeball emoji’s in response to this video being released.

Manziel broke onto the college football scene at Texas A&M in a big way, winning the Heisman Trophy as a freshman in 2012 followed by a Heisman finalist appearance in his sophomore season in 2013.
This was enough for Manziel to get selected in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft by the Cleveland Browns, where his career bottomed out due to inconsistent play and distractions outside of football.
He dominated the college football scene during his time at Texas A&M in a way that few have replicated, but his quick fall-off at the NFL level makes for what will likely be a very interesting documentary, should Netflix officially announce that they are making one.
