Jay Williams got his shot blocked by Derrick Neal.

ESPN college basketball analyst Jay Williams regularly takes on students from the host school in one-on-one basketball games ahead of each week’s College GameDay, and he usually does pretty well. He did that again at Kansas this weekend ahead of the Jayhawks’ clash with West Virginia Saturday, beating most comers, but Kansas football safety Derrick Neal came up with an impressive win over Williams, first thoroughly rejecting his shot and then hitting a deep three.

As Williams noted, though, he did pretty well against just about everyone else:

Not bad at all for a 36-year-old analyst. But still, watch out for Neal. That guy definitely has some skills at hoops as well as football. He just finished his senior season for the Jayhawks on the gridiron, and he came up with another impressive showing here against Williams.
