With just 5.6 seconds left in regulation, Kansas Jayhawks junior Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk went coast to coast for a buzzer-beating bucket to take down in-state rival Kansas State 90-88 on Tuesday night at Allen Fieldhouse.

While it was a tremendous individual effort by Mykhailiuk (yes, I have to hit copy/paste every time), it shouldn’t have counted, as the 6’8″ Ukranian clearly traveled:

ESPN’s Fran Fraschilla quipped, “Even in Europe that’s a travel. Maybe not in Ukraine, but the rest of the continent.”

Either way, it counted, and it gave the No. 3 Jayhawks a thrilling win in front of their home crowd.
