Facing No. 20 Memphis in what was essentially a home game for them in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl, the Iowa St. Cyclones found themselves as underdogs. But after having the lead for most of the game, Iowa St. hung on for a 21-20 upset win.

As the players were set to celebrate their bowl win, the stage apparently couldn’t handle a bunch of big football players on it. Just like Memphis, the stage couldn’t handle the pressure from Iowa St. and buckled. It caused a bit of a scare but everyone was okay and the team kept celebrating.

You never know, that stage may not have been double bolted. Just ask James Brown.
