Since the new NIL rules were enacted in 2021, the LSU Tigers have been one of college athletics’ biggest beneficiaries.
The Tigers football, women’s basketball, and gymnastic teams have each benefitted from the rules, as LSU athletes have been the faces of multiple ad campaigns, rightfully bringing in compensation for their services and exposure for the university.
However, few LSU athletes have benefitted from the new rules more than gymnast Livvy Dunne. Dunne, who has more than eight million followers on TikTok, has been the face of multiple national ad campaigns and recently signed a multi-million dollar NIL deal with Passes.
As such, it was no surprise Monday when Dunne announced she would be staying in Baton Rouge for her senior season.

The announcement came with an accompanying video of Dunne’s gymnastic highlights throughout her life and what being part of LSU has meant to her.
“These past four years have changed my life. There’s something about putting on a purple and gold leotard. There’s something about 13,000 screaming Tiger fans… No matter how many opportunities come my way off the mat, there’s just something about LSU,” Dunne said before a pause.
“That’s why I’m here to say that I’m not ‘Dunne’ yet,” the gymnast continued, cementing her commitment to the Tigers for one final ride.
