LSU quarterback Max Johnson tried to complete a pass on Saturday night that was a very bad idea.

With No. 16 LSU trailing UCLA 24-17 in the third quarter, Johnson ran backwards in an effort to avoid the Bruins’ pass rush, and then tried a no-look pass. He’s very, very lucky that the pass wasn’t intercepted and fell incomplete.

Check out this comical pass attempt:

He was understandably trying to avoid a sack and keep the Tigers in better position to either make a field goal or go for it on fourth down, but that’s still a very ill-advised throw. Even Patrick Mahomes would’ve struggled to pull that one off.

UCLA came away with a 38-27 victory over Johnson and the Tigers in Pasadena.
