The Miami Hurricanes came away with a 88-87 victory last night over the Syracuse Orange in an epic comeback victory for the Hurricanes.

The Hurricanes were down by as much as 18 points in the first quarter but stormed back in a hurry to give themselves a six-point lead with nine seconds to go in the second half.

Miami fans had to be happy about this game. However, those who bet on the Hurricanes spread experienced an extremely bad beat.

Miami entered this game between 1.5- and 2-point favorites, depending on the sportsbook that you were looking at. With a six-point lead in hand with only nine seconds to go, Miami looked well on their way to cover the two points.

Syracuse forward Cole Swider then went on to break the hearts of Miami bettors as he hit two-straight threes following a 1-2 trip to the free-throw line for Miami, which resulted in Syracuse covering.

Many took to social media following the game to react to their bet either cashing or being ruined by the Orange.

Despite the cover, this loss sends Syracuse to a disappointing 7-7 on the season a year after making the Sweet 16 in the NCAA Tournament.

Miami improves to 12-3 with the victory and now looks forward to a big game against Duke coming up over the weekend. Syracuse will look to rebound against Wake Forest.
