The opinions on Washington State head football coach Mike Leach certainly vary, but most everyone can agree that his honesty at least make for entertaining press conferences (regardless of whether or not you agree with his opinions in those pressers).

For example, just a few weeks ago, Leach ranted about his team being “a bunch of pathetic frontrunners” in their 37-3 loss at Cal. And on Halloween night, Leach was very blunt with the press again, but this topic had nothing to do with football.

Leach went on a mini-rant about candy corn, which he called “just awful” and compared to fruitcake and mint juleps:

“I think it’s just awful. Candy corn’s awful. It’s like fruitcake. You know, there’s a reason they only serve fruitcake once a year: because it’s awful. There’s a reason they only serve mint juleps once a year: because they’re awful. And there’s a reason they only serve candy corn once a year: because it’s awful. Now, that does beg the question of why they serve it all, but, anyway, that’s my opinion.”
