Minnesota Easter Eggs

In case you missed it, this weekend was Easter. Yesterday, in fact, which means today there are discounted Reese’s Peanut Butter Eggs on sale all over the country. Go out and by a few dozen. I’ll wait.

(waits)

Okay, now that you’re reading this through a chocolate-smeared screen, let’s take a trip to the University of Minnesota, where the football team gathered for an Easter egg hunt. Or, as they called it, the “Elite Egg Extravaganza”, which means they just left “Eggxtravaganza” right there on the table.

There’s a twist, though, and it comes at the end, when the players learn just what’s inside the eggs:

That’s an elaborate ruse, but it’s a good one, resulting in until-that-very-moment-walk-on Blake Cashman getting buried at the bottom of a mosh pit in celebration. Of course, the team goes even crazier when they learn they’ll be hitting a Brazilian steakhouse for a celebratory dinner, which makes a lot of sense too.

Imagine how excited they’d be if they’d just learned they’d be paid fair market wages for their role in generating revenue for the athletic department!
