Kentucky fans react to their missed late field goal against Florida.

For much of Saturday’s home game against the No. 9 Florida Gators, the Kentucky Wildcats had a chance of pulling off their second-straight win in that series (following 31 straight losses). And that chance perhaps seemed even higher after Florida quarterback Feleipe Franks was carted off with a brutal-looking leg injury in the third quarter, with Kentucky up 21-10 at that point. The Gators put up 12 straight points after that to take a one-point lead, but the Wildcats still had a chance to win, driving down to the Florida 17 with 0:55 left to set up a 35-yard field goal attempt from Chance Poore. But Poore sent it wide:

After that, Florida got a touchdown to extend their lead to 29-21. and while Kentucky got one final Hail Mary chance, that was intercepted. But it was Poore’s kick that feels like the real missed chance here.
