For most people to go to college, they have to do well in school, apply, wait to hear back, get accepted, send in a security deposit, sign a bunch of forms, and do a million other things before showing up for their first day of classes. One top college football recruit is reportedly going to bypass that entire process.

Najee Harris is the top college football recruit in the country according to 247sports and the third overall recruit according to ESPN.

The 6-3, 226-pound running back from Antioch, California is currently committed to Alabama, but hasn’t signed his National Letter of Intent. Just last month, he visited Cal on December 8th and the University of Michigan on December 9th.

The five-star running back has received offers from Alabama, UCLA, Cal, Michigan, Arizona, Arizona State, BYU, Colorado State, Georgia, Hawaii, Kansas, LSU, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, Oregon, Oregon State, San Jose State, TCU, Tennessee, Texas, USC, Utah, Vanderbilt, Washington, and Washington State.

Conceivably, Harris could be planning on showing up for classes next week at any of those 27 schools, however it’s likely he’ll either be showing up to play for the Tide or Wolverines.

According to Al.com, Harris is planning on going to whichever school he chooses after he plays in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl this Sunday.

As of now, the five-star recruit is thinking about flipping to Michigan. When he was talking to reporters after practice Tuesday, he said fans would find out if he decides to stick to his Alabama commitment after Sunday’s game.

That’s right, he’s planning on simply dodging interviews, leaving the stadium, going to the airport, and flying to either Ann Arbor or Tuscaloosa to arrive as an early high school graduate.

With the current state of social media, it’s highly unlikely Harris would arrive at either school before someone posted something about his ultimate decision. Despite the fact that Harris may be teasing a flip to Michigan, Alabama reportedly feels good about the recruit honoring his commitment as the two have been talking every day.

If Harris maintains his commitment to Alabama, he would be the program’s highest Class of 2017 recruit according to ESPN. After Harris is the #5 overall recruit Dylan Moses. The Tide currently has 18 of the top 300 recruits on ESPN.
