The Ohio State Buckeyes took on Arkansas State for their Week 2 matchup on Saturday and one player with a familiar last name shined in the game for Ohio State’s offense in a big way.
Ohio State was able to win comfortably, cruising to a 45-12 victory, and sophomore wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. had himself a breakout game.
Harrison Jr. finished the game with seven catches for 184 yards, while connecting with star quarterback C.J. Stroud on three long touchdown passes.

Harrison Jr. is the son of former Indianapolis Colts Hall of Fame wide receiver Marvin Harrison, and many around the college football world are taking notice of the budding Ohio State star’s extremely impressive game.

Marvin Harrison Jr. becomes the first WR in Ohio State history to record two games with 3+ receiving TDs since Joey Galloway. They're the only 2 Buckeyes to ever do so

Ohio State decided to sit star wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba due to a hamstring injury he suffered in last week’s game against Notre Dame, and Harrison stepped up in a big way with his absence.
This is not the first time that Harrison has had three receiving touchdowns for the Buckeyes, doing so in last year’s Rose Bowl win over Utah as a true freshman.
Harrison is only a sophomore, but he is clearly showing that he has what it takes to follow in his father’s footsteps as a high-level NFL player down the road. He will be eligible for the 2024 NFL Draft and, barring any injuries, he should be a surefire first-round pick if he can continue impressive performances like this.
