Many around the football world are echoing McDermott’s sentiments in offering their best wishes to the Knox family in this difficult time.
I don’t like the idea of the starters playing on Saturday, but honestly it seems like none of that matters right now, given the news of Luke Knox. Absolutely devastated for Dawson & the rest of his family.

Luke Knox spent four seasons at Ole Miss from 2018-2021, where he played both linebacker and tight end during his time with the program.
He then transferred to FIU, and unfortunately never got the chance to take the field in a game for the program due to this saddening news.
