In 2015, things were pretty rough for UCF football, and their local bars.

After limping out to an 0-4 start, one Orlando bar promised to give away free beer during games until the Knights managed to win a game. Unfortunately for The Basement Orlando, UCF struggled their way through a season without a single win, which means, technically, the promotion is still ongoing.

All told, the bar doled out a reported 15,000 beers for free last season.

With UCF’s first game o the 2016 season coming up tomorrow against South Carolina State, The Basement Orlando took to their Instagram feed to confirm the promotion is still on until the Knights win a game.

UCF has a new head coach with Scott Frost taking on his first head coaching job after serving as an offensive coordinator for Oregon. The matchup appears to be a favorable one, and odds are pretty good UCF will get off to a 1-0 start on Saturday. Good news for UCF and their fans, and terrific news for The Basement Orlando.

The promotion was fun while it lasted, UCF fans.
