There are countless reasons to make fun of college football recruiting. We recently saw a fake recruit catfish a bunch of overeager reporters in an elaborate plot that even included highlight reels. Meanwhile, coaches all over the country are offering scholarships to middle schoolers.

Now here is Class of 2020 wide receiver Jacobi Bellazin, who’s given a commitment to TCU, piling on the absurdity.

See if you can spot what’s wrong with this graphic, which Bellazin tweeted out on Tuesday.

Now, we should all note that Bellazin did not make this graphic itself. Ryan Titus (@Titusgraphics00) is the man behind the image. But Bellazin still signed off on the graphic by tweeting it.

It’s tempting to give Titus a pass since his Twitter bio says he’s from Oregon, but he should still brush up on his basic Midwest geography. He’s correct that Purdue is in Indiana, but somehow missed that Indiana University is … also in Indiana. With Illinois (the state) now occupied by Indiana (the school), Titus took the next logical step of moving Illinois (the school) into Wisconsin (the state).

(For the record, some have suggested he thinks Michigan is in Louisiana—that’s actually the logo for McNeese State.)

Maybe Bellazin didn’t think to proof the graphic before publishing it, or maybe he did and simply didn’t notice anything was off. Either way, whoops.
