When Rutgers faced off against the Penn State Nittany Lions in a Big Ten game at home on Saturday, it looked like it might be a fairly competitive game going into halftime with the score 9-0. That only told a small story, and it softens the blow of another butt kicking.

It even got so bad that Penn State fans took over the Rutgers student section:

This may look pathetic, yet in actuality the elements during this game were pretty brutal. They battled hail, snow, and even some rain. It makes sense that a good portion of the 51,000 plus in the stadium chose to leave.

You can almost count the fans on one hand.

Penn State ended up defeating Rutgers by a score of 39-0, and the Scarlet Knights are now a rough 2-9 on the season. They’re also winless in the Big Ten, with four of the losses resulting in shutouts.
