The Brian Kelly Era at LSU hasn’t been very long, but it’s already provided a lot of enjoyable moments and memes that college football fans and media members can’t help but bring up, and that even includes the SEC Network.

Monday was the beginning of SEC Media Week for the 2022 college football season and it was Kelly’s first as head coach of the Tigers. In the months in between his hiring and this week, there were plenty of viral moments that the former Notre Dame coach has had to live through. There was the fake Southern accent that he broke out at an LSU basketball game. And then there was his weird dad-trying-too-hard dance with a recruit that went viral as well.

The SEC wants to put its best foot forward, especially when it comes to the quality of its head coaches, but even they couldn’t help but poke fun at the Boston-born Kelly who is doing his best.

Southeastern Conference Commissioner Greg Sankey even mentioned Kelly’s dance video while introducing the coach for his appearance at SEC Media Days. And that’s when the graphics team took over, describing the LSU headman as “Elite TikTok Dancer” and “Southern Accent Expert.”

Kelly continues to try and be a good sport about the whole accent thing, which he has previously attributed to being from Boston(?).

“Understand now, I have a Boston-midwestern-Louisiana accent now, so it’s three dialects into one,” he said. “It’s no longer family, I’ve got all kinds of stuff to throw at you. So just be ready.”

Just be ready for everyone to throw it right back at you, Brian.
