Jackson State University just landed the biggest football recruit in school history, and it’s the son of their new big-name coach.
Shedeur Sanders has flipped his commitment from Florida Atlantic University to Jackson State to play for his dad, Deion Sanders. Shedeur, a four-star quarterback, tweeted about the decision on Friday.
I couldn’t pass up a opportunity to help level the playing field & pursue equality for HBCU”s ! Dad I got your back! JSU #theeilove 🐅 COMMITTED @DeionSanders @PilarSanders @Striving4_ALott @DemetricDWarren pic.twitter.com/DvN7JFxyyv

Shedeur committed to FAU in July, but that was before Deion took the Jackson State job in September. Once dad got a head coaching gig, it seemed like it was only a matter of time before “Prime Time” got his son to join the Tigers.
The 6’2″, 200-pound Sanders is the No. 60 prospect of the 2021 class on the ESPN 300, and led Trinity Christian School to two state titles in Texas. He threw for 123 touchdowns and 19 interceptions in high school.
Deion is sure to attract some intriguing talent to Jackson State (he got a three-star defensive tackle to commit as well), especially when the prospects come from his own family.
