As if things were not already bad enough for Purdue’s football program, now the Boilermakers are forced to patch up a water main break underneath the football stadium, which caused a bit of a messy situation in Ross-Ade Stadium.
A clean break in a water pipe over the weekend led to a bit of flooding in the end zone of the stadium, causing quite a soggy situation to be cleaned up by the field crew at Purdue. Fortunately for Purdue, the Boilermakers are on the road at Illinois this weekend, so there is time to clean this mess up.

Heres the little guy that caused all the mess. Stress on the pipe caused a clean break. Thrust blocks now used there pic.twitter.com/uZXymydtD5

Purdue’s next home game is scheduled for October 15 against Iowa. That is, of course, unless the sinkhole claims the entire stadium before then and cancels Purdue football forever. Given the way last week went (a 50-7 loss at Maryland), that may not be a terrible idea. At least you can’t blame this one on head coach Darrell Hazell.
