The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks have become one of the better stories of the NCAA Tournament, after they knocked off No. 3 West Virginia with their great play and even better personalities.
So of course, when you’re living on a high note, you have to use your popularity to your advantage. That’s exactly what they did in trying to court Stone Cold Steve Austin, the WWE Hall of Famer and not who the school is named after, to their second round game against No. 6 Notre Dame.
Hey @steveaustinBSR – if you're in Brooklyn on Sunday, we'll save a seat for you. #AxeEm #MarchMadness

He halfway responded, saying that he was busy but wishing the team good luck on Sunday.
@SFA_MBB I'm busy fighting crime on the mean streets of LA right now. Congrats on a helluva win and best of luck!! #HELLYEAH!

The team wanted to make sure that he knew that if he was able to find the time in his schedule to make the appearance happen, he totally should.
Offer always stands @steveaustinBSR. We'd be happy to have you. #AxeEm #MarchMadness https://t.co/2Q194eJ0wo

We’ll enjoy watching the Lumberjacks play on Sunday regardless if Stone Cold Steve Austin actually shows up or not, but just based on all the jokes that have been said and the connection made between the two, it would be that much better.
I mean, what could possibly made March more magical than having Steve Austin show up for a Stephen F. Austin basketball game? Hopefully Austin is just pulling their legs, and shows up to the Barclays Center on Sunday.
