Tre Richardson is having an incredible day in the NCAA Baseball Tournament. The TCU Horned Frogs slugger has piled on home runs and RBI like they’re going out of style.
The Horned Frogs drew the Arkansas Razorbacks in the second matchup of the winner’s bracket in the Fayetteville Regional. It looks like the Horned Frogs will move on to the next phase, as they lead by a whopping 17-5. That’s thanks in large part to the efforts of Richardson, who’s had an incredible day at the plate.
Richardson connected on not one but TWO Grand Slams! Both of them went to the opposite field, and he even had a little shrug in him as he rounded the bases.

If that were not enough, Richardson added a third home run to his line later. He currently has three home runs and 10 RBI on the afternoon.
After two opposite-field grand slams earlier in the game, TCU's Tre Richardson now goes oppo for a 2-run homer.

If they want to surprise and make it out of the Fayetteville Regional, TCU will have to stay on the beat. They will be on the doorstep of the Super Regionals, assuming this score holds, and will have a 2-0 record throughout Regionals play so far. It’s double elimination, so a team would have to beat them twice to send them packing.
They can surely thank Tre Richardson for his incredible efforts if they do.
