Tennessee Volunteers head baseball coach Tony Vitello was ejected in the top of the first inning of Saturday’s SEC game against the Alabama Crimson Tide. And after he was ejected, he made contact with the umpire that threw him out.
Vitello chest-bumped third-base umpire Jeffrey Macias, and Macias pointed back at Vitello as he stumbled away. The other three umpires then came in and held Vitello back.

Now, that looked like a bit of a flop from Macias, but contact with officials is always a big no-no in sports, so this will likely result in a suspension for Vitello.
Tennessee pitching coach Frank Anderson was ejected first.
According to the Knoxville News Sentinel, “Macias was the home-plate umpire Friday and the Vols did not like Macias’ strike zone.”
So, that likely played into the immediate frustration from Vitello and Anderson on Saturday.
