Sunday’s Super Regional matchup between the Texas A&M Aggies and the Oregon Ducks looked like an opportunity for Oregon to potentially tie up the best of three series. But instead, everything fell apart for the Ducks in a truly disastrous inning, or a great one depending on who you were rooting for.
Going into the seventh inning, Oregon held an 8-4 lead. But in the top of the seventh inning, Texas A&M showed the college baseball world that no lead is safe whatsoever in this sport.
By the end of the inning, the Aggies held a 13-8 lead, scoring nine runs in the inning with 12 batters. Four batters would hit twice in the inning, which was capped off by a grand slam from Kaeden Kent.

You can’t ask for much of a better inning if you are the Aggies. And this momentum would continue on throughout the rest of the game, ultimately cruising to a 15-9 victory to punch their ticket to the 2024 College World Series.

Naturally, fans had plenty to say about the performance, with most specifically talking about how unbelievable the Aggies’ seventh inning was.
Kaeden Kent will never buy a drink in college station again. The grand slam that sent A&M to Omaha.
Olsen magic was alive and well all season. The Aggies finish 37-3 at home.
Good.

That half inning has to go down as one of the craziest in Blue Bell Park history. Texas A&M scored nine runs, and eight of them came with two outs. Also, those nine runs came on only two hits. Insane.

Kaeden Kent just turned Blue Bell park into a foam party.

This result is historic in that this is officially the final game in any sport where a Pac-12 team will be competing, as of course all of the remaining teams have gone to a different conference.
The Pac-12 as we have known it died at 9:33 p.m. PDT Sunday, when the Oregon State baseball team lost in the super regionals and all Pac-12 teams were eliminated from the NCAA tournament. Farewell to the Conference of Champions.

As for how Texas A&M may fare in the College World Series, only time will tell of course. But anytime you can have this kind of offensive output, you will obviously have a chance in any game against any team.
