Jordan Nixon had a very special Wednesday night for the No. 2 seed Texas A&M Aggies in the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament. The sophomore guard scored 35 points, which was impressive enough. But she capped it off with a buzzer-beater in overtime to give Texas A&M an 84-82 second-round win over No. 7 seed Iowa State.

Nixon got her hands on a loose ball on the other side of the floor with roughly seven seconds remaining and the the game tied 82-82, and dribbled up the court to beat the buzzer for the win.

Nixon was a highly efficient 18-of-27 from the field, and also had seven assists (five more than anybody else on the Aggies in this game).

Texas A&M survived a scare in an 84-80 win over No. 15 seed Troy in the first round, and needed an overtime buzzer-beater to win in the second round. But they’ve found a way to get wins, and are a very dangerous team if they can keep getting performances like they did from Nixon on Wednesday night.
