The Tulsa Golden Hurricane had the very difficult task of facing the No. 18 Michigan State Spartans on the road Friday night. The game went about as expected on the scoreboard, with Michigan State (a 23.5-point favorite) winning 28-7.

But Tulsa probably expected a tad more out of their running game. Tulsa had 25 carries on the night, for -73 yards. Yes, that’s negative-73 rushing yards. Quarterback Zach Smith had -32 yards on 10 carries, running back Corey Taylor had -1 yard on seven carries, and Shamari Brooks had zero yards on six carries.

Don’t expect the Tulsa running backs to talk trash ahead of their next game.
