No. 6 Auburn had a tremendous performance on Saturday to take down No. 1 Alabama 26-14 in the Iron Bowl, and keep their College Football Playoff hopes alive.
After the game, the Auburn students were understandably ecstatic and rushed the field at Jordan-Hare Stadium, though that field-rushing effort proved to be a bit difficult.

Well, the SEC has fined Auburn $250,000 for rushing the field, as a “violation of the league’s access to competition area policy.”

An incredibly lame policy, but absolutely worth it for Auburn. They have a chance to really cash in if they can beat Georgia in the SEC Championship next Saturday in Atlanta. That would almost surely lock up a College Football Playoff berth for the Tigers.
