Okay, we can confidently call this the craziest play so far of the 2017 football season, and quite possibly the craziest football play you’ll ever see.

Louisiana Tech had 2nd and goal at Mississippi State’s six-yard line on Saturday night, and quarterback J’Mar Smith couldn’t handle the shotgun snap. What followed was a fumble that Louisiana Tech recovered… all the way back at their own 7-yard line. That’s an 87-yard loss.

It left Louisiana Tech with a 3rd and goal from their own 7-yard line, or 3rd and 93, basically.

You just have to see this wacky play for yourself:

As you can assume, the drive didn’t result in a touchdown for Louisiana Tech.

UPDATE: The fumble has already gotten the yakety sax treatment.
