Good heavens what a game!

North Carolina trailed by five late, then stormed back to lead by seven even later, but after two huge threes from Malik Monk and De’Aaron Fox and a few other exchanged baskets, UNC led by three with fourteen seconds left, standing on the line for a one-and-one.

And then, this happened:

That’s fantastic stuff, and a worthy close to the Elite Eight weekend. The sequence was made all the better by neither coach calling timeout; both were vindicated, too, as their teams executed and scored. That should happen more often.

This sets the Final Four field as well, as North Carolina will take on Oregon, and Gonzaga will face South Carolina. If you had that in your bracket, congratulations, you’ve probably won your pool.
