Who knew that Saturday’s wildest game would end up being the one involving the Wake Forest Demon Deacons and Army Black Knights?

We hope you took the over because the two sides combined to score 126 points in Wake’s 70-56 victory. And just in case you’re wondering, the over was 52.5, which both teams topped on their own.

Wake Forest quarterback Sam Hartman finished with 458 passing yards and five touchdowns with wide receiver Jaquarii Roberson garnering 157 of those yards and three of those scores. For Army, it was more of a ground attack, with three different running backs rushing for over 90 yards.

Each team scored at least 14 points in every quarter except for Army’s first quarter. Wake ended up scoring 21 points in both the third and fourth quarters. The point is…there was a lot of scoring.

It’s only the second time that Army has ever given up 70 points, which is quite something given the school’s long history.

For the Deacs, it’s a statement victory as they move to 7-0 on the season and are clear favorites in the ACC, which is quite the thing to say and write.

Social media was full of opinions about the wildest and highest-scoring game of the day. From the astounding factoids to the insane scores, everyone had something to share.

All hail Wake Forest, we guess.
