As the world continues to mourn the loss of the great Arnold Palmer, one of the places that feels his legacy most directly is his alma mater, Wake Forest. The school plans to honor Palmer in multiple cool ways on Saturday before their football game with Syracuse.

First, the school will honor Palmer with a pregame ceremony. Then, the players will carry a flag with his famous umbrella logo on it during introductions, while crossing over a special midfield logo with the same famous umbrella that can now be found at midfield of every Wake Forest athletic field. In addition, the team will wear a special helmet decal for the rest of the season honoring Palmer.

Palmer won multiple ACC and NCAA Championships as a collegiate golfer at Wake Forest, and his statue stands outside the golf complex named after him on campus and the male student-athlete of the year receives the Arnold Palmer award.

While Palmer touched the lives of so many, he touched the entire Wake Forest campus and his legacy is still incredibly strong in Winston-Salem.
