The Iowa Hawkeyes are taking on the No. 3 Michigan Harbaughs Wolverines tonight, and had a hilariously botched fake punt attempt in the first quarter. The play resulted in Iowa senior punter Ron Coluzzi stumbling and flipping short of the first down marker, but Michigan freshman linebacker Devin Bush Jr. was called for targeting on the play (and everyone hated that ruling):

Well, Coluzzi’s next punt attempt again resulted in him taking a hit, and again resulted in a penalty (running into the kicker):

So Coluzzi gets another punt attempt on the next play… AND THE SAME THING HAPPENS. The back-to-back running into the kicker calls got Iowa a first down:

Coluzzi’s fourth punt attempt finally resulted in an actual punt, and it was an awesome one. Coluzzi was pumped!

An incredibly eventful night for this punter, and there are still over six minutes to go in the first half at the time of this post. We will update if Coluzzi is involved in any additional craziness.
