The Holy War — the rivalry between Utah and BYU — came down to one gusty play-call Saturday evening.

After the Cougars scored a touchdown to make it a one-point game, BYU decided to go for the win in Salt Lake City. Utah was having none of the Cougars’ possible two-point conversion.

As a team on the road with a chance to win, it’s hard to blame BYU for being aggressive. Credit to Utah. The Utes were ready to go and made a stop when it counts.

For some reason, Utah seems to be full of wild games. The Utes will try to ride that momentum to Pac-12 South glory. A win versus the Cougars is a plenty-good start for Utah. As teams such as Arizona continue to struggle, the likelihood of the Utes making a trip to Santa Clara seems more and more likely.
